Your Host's John and Rose
Cross River Lodge, formally known as Moosehorn Lodge, has been purchased by lifelong Gunflint summer resident, John Schloot and his wife Rose and their friend Ken Kormeier. Extensive remodeling has taken place bringing the lodge and it's cabins and rooms back to the northwoods style of decor. We offer affordable rates along with wireless Internet and we would like to encourage new and previous customers alike to come see our new look and feel.
Cross River Lodge is located on the sunny north shore of crystal clear Gunflint Lake. Our lodge was originally built in the 1920s and called Borderland Lodge, because of its close proximity to the
Canadian border. All that remains of the original lodge is its large, native stone fireplace which adds character to the main room.
Check out our 360° virtual tour of our property.
Being a small resort, we
offer a quiet, remote atmosphere with a personal touch. We offer a
selection of accommodations to fit your needs. Our Cabins and
Lodge Suites provide our Guests with a beautiful panoramic
lake view. Wildlife is abundant with moose, deer, bear, fox, timber wolves
and a large variety of birds to enjoy. Check out our image gallery of area animals and scenery.
